Sugar, honey and sweeteners

Fruit and honey are fine. Artificial sweeteners are the ones to avoid.

Real sugar in moderation from natural sources is fine. Fruit and honey especially, your body knows how to handle those.

What I'd steer you away from is artificial sweeteners like aspartame and sucralose. They're many times sweeter than real sugar, so they mess with your cravings, and they're not great for your gut.

Want a no calorie option? A small amount of pure stevia (from the plant, not mixed with sugar) is the one I'd pick.
