Where did I subscribe: website or Apple?

Every billing question depends on where you subscribed, because that's who takes the payment.

Every billing question depends on where you subscribed, because that's who takes the payment.

The two places

  • joinosx.com (website). You entered your card on our website. Receipts come from OSX. We can see and manage this subscription, so anything you need (refund, plan change, a pause) is one message away in the chat.

  • App Store (Apple). You subscribed inside the iPhone or iPad app. Receipts come from Apple, and OSX shows under Settings, your name, Subscriptions. Apple takes the payment and handles cancellations and refunds.

On Android, subscriptions run through the website. There are no in app purchases in the Android app.

How to check

  1. Search your email for "OSX" and see who sent the receipt: OSX or Apple.

  2. On iPhone: Settings, tap your name, Subscriptions. If OSX is there, it's Apple.

  3. Not there? It's the website. Open OSX, tap your profile picture, Manage Subscription.

Two accounts happen more often than you'd think: one on Apple, one on the website, under slightly different email spellings. If you're being charged twice, that's usually why. Open the chat and we'll sort it.

Need help? Open the chat on joinosx.com and ask Coach Clarity, our support assistant. Want a person? Say so in the chat and someone from the team replies within 24 hours. Email works too: [email protected].
