You can cancel any time. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, or until your free trial ends.
Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. Follow the steps for where you subscribed. Not sure? See Where did I subscribe: website or Apple?

Open OSX and tap your profile picture top right on Home.
Tap Manage Subscription.
Tap Cancel subscription and confirm.
You'll get a confirmation. Keep it, or take a screenshot.

Want a break instead of cancelling?
If you subscribed on the website, we can pause your subscription for you. Ask in the chat, tell us how long, and we set it up. Apple subscriptions can't be paused, but you can cancel and rejoin any time.
After you cancel
Renewals stop. Access runs to the end of what you've paid for.
On a free trial, access runs until the trial ends.
Cancelling doesn't refund a payment already taken. If you were charged and shouldn't have been, see How do I get a refund?
