Once you start feeling better, the goal is not to make up for missed workouts. It is simply to get back into your normal routine without pushing your body before it is ready.
There is no need to restart everything from zero after a short break. OSX is built around consistency over time, and missing a few workouts does not undo your progress.
How to ease back in
Wait until you actually feel recovered. If normal daily activities still leave you unusually weak or exhausted, give yourself more time before training again.
Make your first workout easier than usual. Use lighter weights, reduce the intensity, take longer rests, or stop earlier if needed.
Then return to your program. If you only missed a few days, continue with your scheduled workouts rather than trying to squeeze in everything you missed.
If you were away for longer, build back gradually. You may need a few sessions before using the same weights or intensity you were using before you got sick.
If you are still feeling unwell or are unsure whether you are ready to return to training, give yourself more time and speak with a healthcare professional if needed.
Don't try to catch up
You do not need to double up workouts or add extra sessions because you missed a week.
That usually just creates more fatigue. Get back into your normal schedule and let consistency do the work. Keep the structure simple and return to your program rather than overcomplicating it.
A few days away from training will not erase the work you have already done.
Focus on recovery too
When you return, keep the basics in place:
Eat enough real, whole food
Get enough protein from your normal meals
Stay hydrated
Prioritize sleep
Keep light daily movement in when you feel up to it
Training works best when recovery supports it.
Bottom line
Do not rush back just because you feel like you "should" be training.
Recover first, make your first workouts easier, then gradually work back toward your normal intensity. Once you feel good again, simply continue following your OSX program.
